Fall Prevention:

Effective fall prevention reduce fall risk factors through multifaceted intervention that combines exercise with other intervention components such as medication review and management, vision screening and correction, patient/caregiver education, and by promoting safer living environments.

Low Vision Therapy:

Low vision therapy is provided by an Occupational Therapist who focus on increasing the patient’s level of independence with activities that have been compromised by visual impairment. Conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa, cataracts, visual field deficits from CVA, and traumatic brain injuries can contribute to low vision. The therapists teach and train patients in the use of optical devices to successfully integrate the devices into activities daily living and increase patient’s awareness and participation in community resources.
